If you didn’t catch it on my Twitter feed yesterday (which is unacceptable, but I’ll let it slide, THIS time,) the paperback edition of my new novel Meta went on sale a little bit early on Amazon in order to make sure people at least have a chance to get it in time for the release date (November 1st!). A lot of people have asked about signed copies. Unfortunately right now there’s not a way to do it that makes financial sense since mailing copies to the UK will cost more than the book itself, whereas Amazon will ship it to you for free. So I’ve come up with a better solution: buy the paperback before November 30th, email the receipt to firstname.lastname@example.org with your name and address, and I’ll mail you signed bookplate! The design isn’t done yet, but it should be cool looking and I’ll post a picture soon.
Also some people have asked about getting the Kindle copy for free if you buy the paperback from Amazon. This will happen automatically through Matchbook once the Kindle version is live if you bought from Amazon.com in the US. HOWEVER, apparently this isn’t being rolled out in the UK yet. So, same deal as the bookplate. Bought the paperback and want the digital version too? Forward the receipt to email@example.com and I’ll email you back with the Kindle and ePub versions. Sound fair?
Amazon.com has actually discounted the paperback to $10.09 on at the time of this writing, a $2 discount! If you’re not a physical object type of person (I’m not) and want to wait for the digital, please do. It’ll only be $2.99 / £1.99 and since bits are cheaper than paper I get about the same royalty anyway.
