Kindle Bookmatch is Live in the US and FAQs

First, thanks so much to everyone who has bought the book so far. It's really exciting to see something that's been in my head and then on my computer for so long finally finding its way into peoples' hands. Just thought I'd take a few minutes to answer some FAQ I've been getting over the past couple of days:

How Do I Get a Free Kindle Copy If I Bought the Paperback?

If you bought the paperback from (aka Amazon US), you should now be automagically seeing it appear in your Kindle library as well now. This wasn't working yet yesterday but I've got confirmation that it should be happening now.

Apparently this feature isn't available outside the US yet, so if you bought a paperback from a different Amazon or another retailer, but forward me the receipt to and I'll send you back a Kindle and ePub (Nook, iPad, etc.) version ASAP.

Can I Get That Signed Bookplate Thing If I Bought an eBook Version?

The problem there is that the bookplate and the shipping (especially overseas) adds up to more than the ebook costs, so it's not really economically feasible. Sorry.

My County's Amazon Doesn't List The Paperback. How Do I Get It?

So far the paperback is only available at (US),, and (US). All three of these companies offer reasonable international shipping (usually around $5 - $7 it looks like) so you can order from them. Hopefully it'll be available in other countries' online stores soon. You can also try ordering it from a local bookseller. The ISBN numbers are ISBN: 1492263710 and ISBN-13: 978-1492263715. Same deal here, send me the receipt and I'll gladly send you the eBook free.

I Have a Kobo and the "Buy" Button Doesn't Work. What Gives?

I've been fighting with them all week. It's ridiculous. Hopefully should be fixed soon, but if you buy the iTunes or Nook version they're DRM-free and you should be able to load them onto your Kobo no problem.

This Is The Best Book I've Ever Read In My Life. What Can I Do To Possibly Help You?

Wow, what an incredible compliment. I don't know what to say. If you like the book, please consider leaving a review where you bought it, or anywhere else (i.e. You can leave a review on Amazon even if you bought it on iTunes and vice versa). Also if you're a Goodreader please consider leaving a review and adding it to your shelf. Reviews really, really, really help a new author like me.

Lastly and most importantly: tell a friend if you think they'd like it! Lend them your copy, send them your eBook file, whatever.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc. please don't hesitate to email me. I'm really enjoying hearing from people reading the book so far. Thanks again everyone.
